Foster Sherman “Fuzzy”

HIGHGATE – Foster Roland Sherman “Fuzzy”, 59, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at the Northwestern Medical Center, St. Albans, VT. He was born on December 21, 1961 in St. Albans, VT, the son of Roland & Marilyn (Pelkey) Sherman

Fuzzy graduated from Missisquoi Valley Union High School, Class of 1979. In 1986, he attended a truck driving school in Utica, NY.

He met his wife, Sheryl in 1985 along with her two children Rebecca & Adam, which he quickly took on as his own. Fuzzy and Sheryl were married on September 4, 1993 and made a home in Highgate, VT.

He was a truck driver for over 30 years, most recently with the AOT – State of VT, and retired in 2017. He truly had a love for trucking and all of the people he encountered through the years.

Fuzzy enjoyed being with family and friends who were like family. He loved hosting parties and barbecues to get everyone together. He loved to cook and share his love of seafood with his grandchildren. He loved doing things outside like gardening, hunting & fishing. He also loved telling stories about his “East Highgate Boys” from his younger days.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by an uncle and two aunts. Fuzzy is survived by his wife Sheryl (Baird) Sherman; his daughter, Rebecca Harten (fiancé Michael); his son, Adam Sherman (wife Laura); grandsons, Austin, Dylan & Eli; granddaughter, Lindsey; one brother, Anson Sherman (wife Holly); one sister Kelli Sherman (partner Nelson); Nieces, Kalynn, Erikka, Destiny, Monica; three aunts and special friends, Tiny & Chris Hemenway.

In keeping with Foster’s wishes there will be no funeral service.
