Sheila Anna Hilliker
The family of Sheila Anna Hilliker, age 71, announces that she passed away peacefully, March 5, 2022, in Swanton. She was born in St Albans on December 18th, 1950 the daughter of Leon and Anna (Hakey) Maskell.
Sheila worked in her early years at Pedigrees, IBM, co-owner of a rubbish removal business, and as Social Worker for the Abenaki Nation. Sheila was also a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.
She enjoyed reading, bird watching, sitting by the river, bonfires, knitting, holidays with the family, sitting on the porch, caring for her animals, and spending time with her family and friends.
Sheila is survived by three children Robert Rheaume(Ashli) of Chesapeake VA, Scott Rheaume(Hailey) of St. Albans, Nicole Rheaume(Roger Laplant) of Richford and six grandchildren, Jasmine DuBois, Sophia Laplant, Emma Rheaume, Grace Rheaume, Iris Adams, and Valor Rheaume, two great-grandchildren Silas and Sky Waegner; and her siblings, Bonnie Wilson, Dorcus Peliter, Debbie Bergeron, and Mike Maskell. Sheila is also survived by her two dear friends Dot LaFrance and Gene Wells.
She is preceded in death by her parents Leon and Anna Maskell, her grandparents Kenneth and Ruth Perry, her siblings, Elaine “Minnie” Greeno and Carol Delorme.
A private service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Chapel.
