GEORGIA MAN AVOIDS SERIOUS INJURY IN I-89 CRASH
According to State Troopers, 22-year-old Brendon Boissonneault, of Georgia avoided serious injury Thursday morning when he totaled his 2015 GMC Sierra in a crash on Interstate 89 in Georgia.
Torrential rains caused pooling water in some places along the interstate, according to police.
Trooper Mattuchio said that Boissonneault hydroplaned, crashed into a guard rail, and rolled several times down an embankment.
Police said that Boissonneault, and his passenger, 17-year-old Hannah Mason, were both transported to hospitals with minor injuries. Both were trapped in the truck when first responders arrived on the scene.
The 11:30 am crash caused police to shut down one lane of the interstate for about three hours.
Police said that Boissonneault would be issued a ticket for traveling too fast for conditions, as well as a ticket for driving with an obstructed windshield.
