WANTED MAN PICKED UP WITHOUT LICENSE, SPENDS NIGHT IN JAIL
A Swanton man found himself spending the night in prison after a Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy picked him up without a valid driver’s license around 8pm last night on the Interstate Access Road in St. Albans.
According to Deputy Albarelli, Paul Turcotte, 25, of Swanton, was arrested for having a criminally suspended license and two arrest warrants. He was held at the Northwest Correctional Center until his arraignment this morning.
Turcotte’s warrants were both for failing to appear in Criminal Court. On October 17th Judge Gregory Rainville ordered a $1,000 arrest warrant on Turcott relating to a DUI#1 charge. The second was issued on October 31st by Judge Morresey for operating his vehicle with a suspended license. That was a $100 warrant.
Turcotte was scheduled to appear in front of Judge Rainville this morning for his arraignment.
According to Turcotte’s Facebook page he attended Missisquoi Valley Union High School as a youth.
