SHELDON CRASH KILLS FAIRFIELD MAN

SHELDON: According to the Vermont State Police, one man is dead after a single vehicle crash on Duffy Hill Road in the town of Sheldon.

The call came into emergency crews at around 10:50 pm on Wednesday evening for the one car motor vehicle crash. The location is near 3980 Duffy Hill Road, just north of the Fairfield/Sheldon town line.

Trooper Bojan Brkovic said in a written release early Thursday morning that the sole occupant of the vehicle, Tyler W. Deguise, 32, of Fairfield was killed as a result of the crash.

Deguise was traveling north on Duffy Hill Road when he lost control, traveled off the roadway, and rolled, coming to rest on the roof of the vehicle, according to the Trooper.

The roadway was closed for a few hours as police and rescue crews processed the scene. Sheldon Fire Department, AmCare Ambulance Service, and Vermont State Police responded to the scene, the Trooper said.

A cause of the accident was not released, but Trooper Brkovic said at this time speed, impairment, and road conditions are not considered factors in the crash.
