Rachel M. Snide
WEST ENOSBURGH – Rachel M. Snide, age 89, passed away at her home in West Enosburgh on February 14, 2021.
She was born in Sheldon on October 31, 1931, to the late Ralph & Blanch (White) Patterson.
Rachel married Raymond Snide in Hyde Park, NY, on April 25, 1953. She loved the married life, and raising her children. Being a soldier’s wife, she traveled to many places and Japan was one of her all-time favorites.
She is survived by three sons, Chris Snide of Oregon, Tony Snide and his significant other Sue Shappy of Jay, and Lee Snide and his wife Bunny of West Enosburg; eight grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Rachel was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Snide; their son, Dwight “Ike” Snide; and her granddaughter, Elizabeth Snide.
Friends and family are invited to Rachel’s Life Celebration events to include the following, Visitation from 4-7:00 PM on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at The Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickenson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT. A graveside funeral service will be held later this year in Maple Grove Cemetery in Bakersfield.
