Candace “Candy” Levick
SWANTON: Candace “Candy” L. Levick, age 56, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2021 with her family by her side at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
She was born in St. Albans on November 5, 1964 to Alice (Magnant) and the late Charles Levick Sr.
Candy was an amazing mother, supportive, loving and so full of care and dedication, at times it was a wonder if she ever took time to think of herself. As a friend she was honest, straight forward, and loyal to the core, never willing to compromise when it came to giving her friends the reality of situations. Her advice was priceless and her influence towards her friends and family could never be summed up in mere words. Her happiness was contagious and when she laughed you couldn’t help but laugh too. Candy was also a passionate animal lover, no better caretaker for the animals of this earth could have been found. With her wisdom, love, and passionate dedication she raised two upstanding children, Ciarra and Nalanni, who will carry on her legacy to those around them. Her family and friends will forever remember her as an avid cook, and so giving she’d offer the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Her amazing attitude, happy demeanor and fiery spirit will be remembered and missed for many, many, years. Candy was a proud member of the VFW Post 778 Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered much of her time to the Masonic Lodge in Swanton.
She is survived by her children, Nalanni Levick and her fiancé David Johnson of Stowe, and Ciarra Mott and her husband Hazen Machia of Swanton; her mother, Alice Levick of St. Albans; siblings, Pamela Levick of St. Albans, and Charles “Chach” Levick Jr., and his wife Melissa of St. Albans; and a special niece, Marah Levick.
Besides her father, Candy was predeceased by her grandparents, Lucille and Melvin Levick and Ralph and Ethel Magnant.
In respecting Candy’s wishes, there will be no public services. A private Graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
