Kenneth Harvey Cameron Sr.

The family of Kenneth Harvey Cameron Sr., age 71, announces that he passed away peacefully, on April 28, 2022, in Burlington.  He was born in Middlebury, on April 28, 1951, to Joseph and Barbara Bevins Cameron.  Kenneth married on August 14, 2004.  Kenneth worked with his brother and father putting siding up and painting houses in his younger years. Then in his later years, he became a truck driver. He drove trucks in NY and Vt as well as other states.  Having his CDL was very important to him, and he loved driving 18-wheelers, delivering those loads until he retired. He was very good and proud to be able to do what he loved. Ken enjoyed the simple life. He loved to hunt and fish especially with his lifelong friend Edmund McClary ll. He enjoyed watching sports on TV from golf to Nascar and playing poker with his brothers and close friends. Napping was a good way to pass time (it was common to see dad stretched out on the couch or in the recliner). He enjoyed being around his family, that was always an interest. He also enjoyed sitting around the kitchen table and drinking coffee with family and friends and joking around and laughing. If he wasn’t working, he was taking in the simple life and that was good enough for him.

He is survived by five children, Paulette Desrochers of Amsterdam, NY, Jody Pulley of Pelham, NC, Kenneth Harvey Cameron Jr. of Richford, VT, Susan M Cameron Roberts of Richford, VT, and Jade Stortecky of Johnstown, NY; ten grandchildren, Nicole Elizabeth Pulley, Robert Kenneth Pulley, Landen Joseph Cameron, Kira Rose Calderwood, Cameron Scott Roberts, Gabrielle Faith Pratt, Kavez Desrochers, Norice Desrochers, Stella Desrochers, and Jonathan Cislo; and three siblings, Paullette Cameron of Swanton, VT, Daniel Cameron of Johnstown, NY, and Libby Murphy.

He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia Cameron of Gloversville, NY, and three siblings, David Cameron, Larry Cameron, and Pamela Howard.

A Remembrance Gathering will be held in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, on Monday, May 9, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.   Interment with military honors will follow at 1:00 PM in the Cameron Family Lot in Georgia Plain Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, where fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with his family and friends at: www.bradyandlevesque.com.
