Sandra Jean Draper
ST. ALBANS: Sandra Jean Draper lifelong resident of St. Albans, passed away peacefully Monday, March 6, 2023, with her loving family at her side at Northwestern Medical Center.
Born on April 8th, 1949, in Charleston, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Clark and Myrtle Lugenia Thomas.
Sandra worked for many years at Fonda Container and later at Mylan before her retirement. She was a homebody who loved her movies, game shows, and her beloved family.
Sandra leaves her daughter Paula Williams; her grandchildren Travis Christopher Durkee and Alexis Nicole Greenwood; her great-grandchildren Bennett Travis Durkee, Carlin Christopher Durkee, Carter Grant Greenwood, and Layla Rae Greenwood. She is also survived by her siblings Ernest (Cathy) Clark of Enosburgh, Brian Clark of St. Albans, Marilyn “Joyce” Demar of St. Albans, and Cindy Elliott of Dover, NH; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is predeceased by her granddaughter Ashley Rae Durkee on January 14th, 2013; her former husband George Draper; her brother Rodney Clark; her mother Myrtle Thomas; her father Samuel and his wife Dorothy (Ovitt) Clark.
Sandra’s family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Vermont Chapter, 121 Connor Way, Williston, VT 05495.
At a later date, there will be a celebration of Sandra’s life at the convince of her family.
