Kenneth C. Kennison

SWANTON: Kenneth C. Kennison, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 21, 2023, at his home in Swanton.

He was born in St. Albans on August 10, 1960, to the late Clifford Leon and Phyllis Mae (Beaucage) Kennison.

Kenny grew up in St. Albans and attended St. Albans City School and BFA. He met the love of his life Lori Gadue at the Swanton Festival and the two were married on August 9, 1986. They had two children that quickly became the center of their life and they enjoyed yearly trips to Florida, Lake George, New Hampshire, and the occasional camping trip.

Kenny worked various jobs until becoming a machinist at Ray’s Dies and Tubing where he worked as a machinist for over 20 years. Before Kenny’s ailments slowed him down, Kenny could usually be found fishing by the Bay or Black Bridge, mowing his lawn, tinkering in his garage, and riding his Harley or snowmobile. You may not have always known exactly how he was feeling on any particular day however you always knew that he was thinking about his family above all.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lori Gadue Kennison; children, Chad Kennison, and Nicky Robtoy and her husband Dusten; grandchildren, Madelyn, and Gavin all of Swanton. He is also survived by his siblings, Jane Gaudette of St. Albans, Tina Elliott and her husband Raleigh of Swanton, Leon “Peanut” Kennison of St. Albans, and Danny Kennison of St. Albans; father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Eileen Gadue of Swanton; his puppy, Remi; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Kenny was predeceased by two brothers, Robert O. Bull Jr., and Mark A. Kennison; brother-in-law, Kevin Gadue; and two four legged companions, Suno and Tyson.

In keeping with Kenny’s wishes there will be no services at this time.
