JoAnne Reynolds

FRANKLIN/SHELDON: JoAnne Reynolds, age 82, a lifelong area resident passed away on Saturday, February 10th, 2024, at the Franklin County Rehab Center with her family at her side.

JoAnne was born on April 20th, 1941, in Fairfield, the daughter of the late Theodore and Joan (Campbell) Bessette. Her marriage to Henry H. Reynolds took place on August 17th, 1959, at St. Patrick’s Church in Fairfield. Henry died on February 25, 2013.

During her working years, JoAnne was employed by IBM in Essex Junction. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and Elks Club in St. Albans and the Card Club in Fairfield. She especially enjoyed Scrabble, playing the guitar and cards. Known for her maple donuts, Alan Reynolds and Laurie would steal them and eat them in the shed.

JoAnne is survived by her children, Laurie Fortin and her husband Doug of Sheldon, Nancy Ward of Highgate, Steve Reynolds and his wife, Sharron of Sheldon and Dennis Reynolds and his companion, Tracy Bilodeau of Sheldon; her grandchildren, Harliss and Jackie Fortin, Jessie Fortin and his significant other, Ashley Feeley, Kristopher Ward, Kristin Ward, Caleb Reynolds, Jacob Reynolds and Curtis Reynolds, Joey Laviolette, Tyler Laviolette, Shayna Laviolette and Nicholaus Laviolette, and several great-grandchildren; and sisters Leashia Paradee and her husband, Lee of Swanton and Marylin Meunier of Milton.

In addition to her parents and husband, Henry, JoAnne was predeceased by a daughter, Jeannie Marie Reynolds who died in infancy in 1961.

Private services will be held at the convenience of JoAnne’s family with the Reverend Father Jerome Mercure officiating. Spring interment will take place in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Fairfield.
