Patricia Ann Theresa Lynch “Pat” Dasaro

ST. ALBANS: Patricia Ann Theresa Lynch “Pat” Dasaro, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024, under the care of the St. Albans Rehab nurses and staff, surrounded by family.

Born in Newark, New Jersey on December 4, 1944, Pat was the daughter of the late Thomas and Marie Lynch of Middletown, New Jersey. Pat was married to her high school sweetheart Robert “Bob” Dasaro in 1963 and they had many adventures together. Pat and Bob moved to Jericho, Vermont in 1971 and she enjoyed living on the hill on Lawrence Heights for over forty-five years.

Pat will be missed by her four children, her son, Robert, of Carbondale, Colorado; her daughter, Suzanne and her husband, Phil of Westminster, Colorado; her son John and his wife Candace of Fairfield, Vermont; her son Patrick and his wife Chantry of Telluride, Colorado; and her eight grandchildren: Sophie Marie, Caitlin Bell, Brennen Lane, Delaney Elizabeth, Ruby Claire, Zebediah Mitchell, Olive Isla, and Weston Robert; and daughter-in-law, Stephanie Brackin of Moretown, Vermont. Patricia is survived by her older brother, Thomas Lynch.

Pat will also be missed by her loving friends, Jane Aspinall, and Wanda Mitchell; her sister-in-law Kathy Dasaro; and her partners in crime, Mary Jarvis, Josy Moore, Mary Fagnant, and Shelly Boomhower.

Pat was predeceased by her loving husband Bob, her brother Greg Lynch, her daughter-in-law, Nancy Dasaro, family members, close friends, and neighbors.

Patricia was known for her loving heart, giving soul, and beautiful smile. Throughout her life, she was a “second mother” to many. She had an impact on multiple generations of children through the many jobs she held – working with children of all ages – from Little League, Boy & Girl Scouts, and preschool teacher, to having her own children’s clothing store, to a final journey in her career working in Admissions at Johnson State College.

Birthdays were special with Pat’s well-loved “yellow cake” that she baked for each family member on their birthday. Pat was also famous for serving homemade pizzas, chocolate chip pancakes, and spaghetti and meatballs. These Dasaro favorites would be on hand after a sleep-over, while camping, when extra relatives were visiting and to fundraise at the Jericho Elementary School. Whether serving three or three hundred, Pat’s food and laughter would nourish the crowd.

During her active years, Pat could be found alongside Bob in a canoe, out on their boat, biking along Lake Champlain, at the Fitzgerald St. Patrick’s Day parties, cheering on their grandchildren, and traveling with their close friends. She touched the hearts of so many folks and will be missed by many. She loved to sing and read to her children and grandchildren.

Pat’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 5-8 pm at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated later this year on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 11 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Church Road, Fairfield, with the Reverend Father Jerome Mercure as celebrant. Prayers of committal and interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Friends of Northern Lake Champlain, P.O. Box 1145, St. Albans, VT 05478, or friendsofnothernlakechamplain.org.
