After returning home from theater, Gary served as a correctional guard at the Northwest State Correctional Facility. He went on to work for Cobb’s Chevy Olds as a mechanic then a salesman. Before retiring he worked in the Service Department at Handy Dodge Toyota.

Gary started the Vermont chapter of the VVA (Vietnam Veterans Association), and was an active member of both the VFW and American Legion. After retiring he moved to Eustis, Florida with his wife Diane, where he would live out the remainder of his life. He had a love for cars and music as well as spending time with family and friends. His smile was truly infectious. He was affectionately known as “Greenjeans” by his brothers, sisters and friends.

Gary touched the lives of many while on this earth and will be remembered for his kindness, bravery, generosity, hard work, and sense of humor.

Per Gary’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or service. He will be cremated and laid to rest at locations held close to his heart.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers or gifts, you donate to your local funeral home for people less fortunate in taking care of a loved ones’ final resting.

There will be a Celebration of Life, to be announced, at a later date.
