Lucille Noella Perras

ST. ALBANS: Lucille Noella Perras passed away on March 2, 2024, in the comfort and care of her granddaughter’s home in Grand Isle.

Lucille was born on December 29, 1925, the youngest of 10 children the daughter of the late Arsene and Yvonne (Lussier) Lussier.

Lucille was born and raised in Swanton and lived out her adult years as a resident of St. Albans where she devoted many years being heavily involved in her community.

After retiring from Union Carbide in 1984, she dedicated her time to caring for her grandkids and volunteering with many local organizations. She was president of the Rockledge condos association for 15 years, a driver for Meals on Wheels, as well as being an active member of the VFW Woman’s Auxiliary in St. Albans and the Senior Center. She took great pride in running many Bingo games and dinners for both the Senior Center and VFW. Lucille loved to garden, enjoyed traveling (especially to the casinos), a good game of cards, and her daily walks well into her eighties.

In later years, Lucille was a proud recipient of the Governor’s Awards in 2011 for Outstanding Community Service and in 2012 for her many years of cooking for the Senior Center.

Out of all of these incredible accomplishments that show tribute to her fruitful life, Lucille’s biggest love was her legacy of her kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she got to watch grow over the years.

Lucille leaves her son Mark Perras, and her daughters Jeanne Perras (David Rosner), Shirley Phillips (Reggie Johnson), and Lise Naylor; her grandchildren Patrick Phillips (Stephanie), John Phillips (Jen), Jason Hutchins (Kim), Aaron Hutchins, Landon Hutchins (Mary Ellen), Christie Kraemer (Levi); and her beloved great-grandchildren Isaac Hutchins, Ava Hutchins, Kieran Phillips, Lydia Phillips, Chloe Hutchins, Brayden Hutchins, Lucy Kraemer, and Finn Kraemer.

Those planning expressions of sympathy please consider Franklin County Senior Center, 75 Messenger Street, St. Albans, VT 05478, or Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary #758, 353 Lake Road, St. Albans, VT 05478.

Services for Lucille, at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Swanton, will be announced at a later date.
