TODAY IS THE DEADLINE FOR LOCAL CANDIDATES TO PUT THEIR NAMES IN THE RACE

Local selectboards, library boards, listers, assessors, and many other seats are up for grabs when voters participate in Town Meeting in a little over a month.

Today is the final day though for anyone who is looking to get their names put onto the ballot in their community.

Because of the looming pandemic, most municipalities have moved to an Australian Ballot method for the 2021 Town Meeting, following in the steps of a bill pushed through by the Vermont Legislature.

Here is a link to the Consent of Candidate form, if you’d like to be included on the ballot this Town Meeting day.

Because most Towns are moving to an Australian Ballot method, seats that are normally nominated on the floor of Town Meeting must now be submitted in advance in order to have the candidate’s name on the ballot.
